🌈 KINDERGARTEN NEWS 🌈
Last week, our kindergarten students continue to learn through hands-on experiences, creativity, and play. It has been lovely to see their confidence grow as they explore new activities and express themselves in different ways.
This Week
Sports Day Shirts: Our Sports Day shirts will arrive on Wednesday. The shirts have been designed with input from the students and reflect their ideas and team identity. The cost is 350 THB per shirt, and they can continue to be worn after Sports Day as part of the regular school uniform.
Wednesday Activity
For this week’s activity, the kindergartners will experiment with mixing colours to create new ones, exploring how different combinations can transform into something entirely new.
Friday Trip This Friday, the kindergartners will head to Sip Kao Rai (Queen’s Park) by the beach on Soi 19. The children will spend most of their time playing in the park area, but there will be opportunities to walk along the beach to look for shells.
Looking Ahead
Our main Sports Day event will take place on Wednesday 17th June at the school field from 9:15 - 11:30 a.m. Parents are warmly invited to attend and watch the morning events. Students should be dropped off at school as usual at 8:45 a.m.
Parents are then welcome to return in the afternoon at 1:00 p.m. for family games on the school lawn, followed by an awards ceremony at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Highlights from Last Week

For their Friday trip, the kindergartners travelled to Hampton for their swimming lessons with Hua Hin Swim School.
The students were organised into groups. While one group practised swimming with the coach, the others explored a range of engaging games with Mrs Meloney. Students built confidence in the water while also enjoying activities such as duck diving to retrieve toys from below the surface, before rotating groups.
During their free time, the kindergartners have been busy constructing and playing with their “magic mirrors,” which they created in class with Miss Sara. They also enjoyed dressing up and stepping into different roles, with many of them becoming Captain America and others transforming into princesses and storybook characters.
The students also experimented with bubbles. They mixed soap and water, then used straws to try and blow bubbles. Although it did not work at first, they showed a strong growth mindset by continuing to adjust and try again. Eventually, they succeeded and enjoyed there time playing.
On Wednesday, the kindergartners made their own playdough. They selected colours, mixed ingredients (warm water, salt, flour, and food colouring), and shaped their creations. They formed letters to spell their names, as well as designing their own imaginative models. Sage, our new student, chose pink for her playdough as it is her favourite colour. The activity encouraged both creativity and independence.
Classes from Last Week

Last week, the kindergartners continued their lessons, including Music, Hands and Hearts, Tales and Treasures, and Project Play.
In Tales and Treasures with Mrs Sara, the students explored the ocean and the impact of pollution. They listened to stories about mermaids and the sea, while also discussing how pollution affects marine life. The session ended with students designing and colouring their own mermaids and mermen.
In music class with Mr Tommy, the students continued to express themselves through songs. They seemed to really enjoy engaging in these musical activities.
In Project Play, with Ms Celden, students brought in their favourite toys and shared them with the class. While sharing was optional, many students chose to speak about their toys, building confidence in speaking and listening.
In Hands and Hearts, the class selected the story Sleeping Beauty. They then completed a creative task where they built their own version of a story using names, colours, and objects, showing imagination and creativity.
Closing
It has been another enjoyable and productive week in kindergarten, filled with creativity, exploration, and growing confidence. We look forward to another exciting week ahead.
