Off Campus Trips

Friday afternoons are an important part of our Halio community and contribute to the strength of our program.  We leave this time open for special guest lecturers, or education outside of the classroom, and/or off campus trips.

Field trips
expose students to to the wider world of existing community projects, new ideas, concepts, and perspectives. Sometimes the trips are just designed to explore the wider world, sometimes with specific learning goals, and occasionally just for fun and recreation.

Trips we've taken include:  Huay Yang Waterfall, Cha-am Forestry Park, Pranburi Mangrove forest, Pra Nakhon Kiri in Petchburi, Khao Wang, rafting in Gaeng Kra-Jaan, Tam Praya Nakhon, Hin Lek Fai, Chiva Som organic gardens, the fire department, the weather center, water purification projects, Royal compost and recycling projects, the cheese factory, elephant villages, wildlife rescue centers, local wats (Kao Takiap, It-dti, Huay Mongkon, Niko), local caves with bats and many more varied, interesting and educational places.
